In these divisive times, as the partial government shutdown approaches a record number of days, the AATA would like to share our support for those who are impacted. Our members who are furloughed government employees as well as their clients who rely on government agencies for assistance are both facing unprecedented challenges. Our thoughts are with all those feeling the effects of this shutdown.

The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) are delighted to announce that registration is now open for this inaugural international conference!  Art Therapists from 35 countries present the newest of practice innovations and research. This conference is of interest to arts therapists and colleagues wishing to extend their skills and knowledge, make new contacts, and build networks.

Every year at the annual conference of the American Art Therapy Association, attendees are invited to create artwork in the open studio — a wonderful way to step back and process during the intensive days of learning.  At the 2018 conference held in Miami, attendees were invited to join Stars of HOPE, USA in painting 12-inch wooden stars with a message of hope.
