Thank you for being a part of our AATA community! Your support as a member has helped AATA advance the field of art therapy. Renew your membership today to stay connected with other art therapy professionals passionate about improving the lives of the clients and communities they serve, and raising awareness about mental health.
How to Renew
- Visit MyAATA and login with your MyAATA information.
- If you want to change your login email address, or have issues resetting your password, please email membership@arttherapy.org.
- Once you have logged in to MyAATA, click the orange Renew button on the right hand side of your profile page. If you do not see the Renew button, you can click the purple Become a Member button on the right hand side of your profile page.
- Chose your Payment Option (Annual, 2-Year, Monthly, or Add a Chapter) and click Next.
- **If you are changing your Membership Type, locate your current Membership Type and click Remove from Cart.
- Once you find your current Membership Type on the page, you are welcome to check/uncheck the Chapter and Support the Association boxes as you see fit. When you are ready, click Add to Cart, then Review and Checkout.
- At the checkout page, complete your payment via Credit Card.

Change in Membership Type?
Have you recently completed a graduate program?
- New Professional: for individuals who have completed graduate level training in art therapy within the last 12 months ($77)
Have you retired from the profession?
- Retired Professional: for Professional members who have reached the age of 65, or who are eligible to retire with full benefits under the current Social Security regulations, and are officially retired from their primary professional activities ($88)
- Retired Associate: for Associate members who have reached the age of 65, or who are eligible to retire with full benefits under the current Social Security regulations, and are officially retired from their primary professional activities ($88)
Payment Options
AATA offers three different payment schedules for memberships. Please review the details below to select the payment schedule that best fits your needs. Membership terms are on an anniversary basis. Your term begins on the day you join and will be up for renewal one or two years from that date (depending on the schedule you choose).
Annual: Single payment for one year of membership with dues owed annually.
2-Year: Single payment for two years of membership with dues owed every two years. Offers lower dues rate per year when compared to Annual.
Monthly: Pay twelve equal installments over the course of your membership year. Includes a 5% admin fee which equals less than $0.73 per month.
Pay via Mail: If you would prefer, you have the option to submit your membership form and payment via mail, with an additional $5.00 processing fee. Click here to download the application form. Your application and check can be mailed to the following address:

National Membership Types
AATA offers a variety of membership categories, one of which will be perfect for you!
- Affiliate: for organizations and institutions ($650)
- Associate: for individuals interested in art therapy but not studying or practicing ($175)
- Credentialed Professional: for art therapists with current registration with the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) ($175)
- International Professional: for individuals living outside of the United States working in the field of art therapy or interested in art therapy ($88)
- New Professional: for individuals who have completed graduate level training in art therapy within the last 12 months ($77)
- Professional: for individuals who have completed graduate level training in art therapy ($175)
- Retired Professional: for Professional members who have reached the age of 65, or who are eligible to retire with full benefits under the current Social Security regulations, and are officially retired from their primary professional activities ($88)
- Retired Associate: for Associate members who have reached the age of 65, or who are eligible to retire with full benefits under the current Social Security regulations, and are officially retired from their primary professional activities ($88)
- Art Therapy Graduate Student: Individuals currently enrolled in a graduate or doctoral program in art therapy are eligible for an Art Therapy Graduate Student membership ($59)
- Student: Individuals currently enrolled in full-time study in a field outside of art therapy are eligible for a Student membership ($59)
