Introducing SIGs and Supervision Sessions at Conference!
Our 53rd Annual Conference program continues to grow! Check out our latest additions: Special Interest Networking Groups (SIG) and Master-Level Clinician Supervision Sessions! SIGs are taking the place of Focus Groups that were previously held at our conferences. These are informal conversations where practitioners gather to talk about shared experiences and learn from one another.

Two Art Therapy Programs Receive CAAHEP Initial Accreditation!
CAAHEP has awarded initial accreditation to the Art Therapy master’s programs at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and the School of Visual Arts in New York City, NY, effective July 15, 2022.

Introducing Ted Meyer, Our Conference Keynote Speaker
We are excited to introduce our Conference Keynote Speaker, Ted Meyer. Ted Meyer is a nationally recognized artist, curator, and patient advocate, helping patients, students, and medical professionals see the positive in the worst life can offer. Ted’s rare niche mixes art, medicine, and stories of healing and survival, drawing from his experience as a lifelong patient of Gaucher Disease.

The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is Now Live
We all know the three-digit number to call if you or someone else needs help due to an injury or an immediate danger. But until now, it wasn’t clear who we should call if an emergency isn’t physical. On July 16, the national 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was launched, making it easier to access mental health crisis services.
