2019 Conference Call for Proposals is Now Open!

For those who attended the 49th Annual Conference in Miami, we hope that you left feeling inspired and with additional knowledge gained.  If you attended, be sure to visit the 2018 Proceedings website to explore the program, view photos, and retrieve your Continuing Education Certificate.  It’s now time to focus on the AATA’s 50th Annual Conference to be held October 30 to November 3, 2019 in Kansas City, Missouri!

In celebration of the AATA Conference to be held October 31 to November 4 in Miami, FL, the Clinical Art Therapy Department of Miami-Dade County Public Schools will offer an art exhibit in the baggage claim area of the Miami International Airport near Carousel 15. The exhibit titled ARTWORKS: Navigating Student Success will be on display from October 23, 2018 through January 31, 2019.

The Saturday Morning Plenary presenters at this year’s AATA Conference in Miami, FL invite you to provide questions and share areas of interest to help inform their presentation scheduled for Saturday, November 3, from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. by participating in a dedicated online Open Forum discussion available in MyAATA. The presentation, Building for Tomorrow: Conversations in Neuroscience, Art and Related Therapies consists of a panel of art therapy and neuroscience experts who will discuss how neuroscience informs clinical practice in art therapy and the creative arts therapies and why a “brain-based perspective” matters.
