Sankofa: A Vision of Black Healing and Liberation Through Afrofuturistic Art

Join AATA on March 22, at 6 – 8 pm ET, for a live, virtual session, “Sankofa – Art of Afrofuturism.”
This panel presentation is a conversation between an art therapist, museum educators, and research professors who examine black art in the context of the past, present, and future to determine the implications of the concept of afrofuturism in art therapy and art education.

ACATE invites public comments on the Proposed CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines of Accreditation of Educational Programs in Art Therapy – 2023. Submit your comments by March 31.

New Counseling Compact Informational Resource
February 8, 2023
The interstate compact is an agreement between states to honor counseling licenses issued by the other states who have signed on to the compact. Once implemented in its entirety, it will provide what amounts to license portability across the country for licensed counselors.

Every conference, hundreds of art therapists, educators, as well as graduate students join us as conference presenters—to share their knowledge and expertise, or begin a discussion that advances our profession. This Call for Proposals is an open invitation to submit session presentations that would be relevant and of interest to the art therapy community.
