Sessions at AATA2025: Multicultural Perspectives (MP) Track

The conference is organized into nine main subject tracks to help participants find areas of interest. During the proposal submission process, each proposal submitter selected one category to best describe their session. AATA uses these categories for the final Program Guide. 

Multicultural Perspectives (MP)

Sessions in this category distinctly highlight the impact of diverse cultural backgrounds on art therapy practices. Multiculturalism is viewed as a term encompassing one or more cultures, frequently extending beyond dominant white cultures. These discussions may shed light on multicultural practices, leveraging examples from domestic & international art therapy work. Emphasis is placed on the significance of incorporating cultural nuances into therapeutic approaches, fostering a comprehensive understanding of how cultural diversity enriches the field of art therapy.

Advanced Practice Courses and Workshops have limited seats and require additional registration and fees. All other sessions (e.g. panels, papers, performances, and videos) are included as part of conference registration and do not need additional registration.
