Please join AATA Board Member Rachel Mims, MS, ATR-BC, LPC-AT-S, and the Veterans Shared Interest Group (SIG) for a virtual art-making session with an open conversation, March 26, 8 – 9pm ET.
Rachel previously served in the US Army for 10.5 years and has worked as an art therapist in a variety of practice settings supporting clients who have experienced combat or sexual trauma.
We’ll discuss how our work as art therapists is being affected by the drastic cuts to federal agencies—and how these cuts are harming veterans’ and service members’ access to mental health care.

Whether you are a military veteran, work with servicemembers, or want to share information about how veterans are being affected by cuts to federal workers or programs, we hope you will participate. (Visit this page to learn more about the cuts at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and take the survey about how federal cuts are affecting your work.)
Please register here and we’ll send you the Zoom link to join. This event is open only to AATA Members, including Professional, Retired, Student, and Associate Members. If you’d like to become a member of AATA, please join here.
