Join us for our next virtual All-Member Meeting on Sept. 25, 7:30 – 9:30 pm ET.
AATA’s leadership holds six virtual All-Member Meetings to help the AATA community stay connected with each other and learn about upcoming events and new resources.
We also offer mini-learning sessions during the All-Member Meetings.
This upcoming meeting will be special because we are using the entire meeting to host an important training and dialogue on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the profession and association. Please join us to share your experiences and to learn from a change expert during a CE credit-eligible DEI training.
Evolving Our Culture with DEI Lenses:
Continuing Education Session
Sept. 25, 7:30 – 9:30pm ET
Transformational change expert Sharon Newport will conduct a CE credit-eligible session, Evolving Our Culture with DEI Lenses, during the September 25 All-Member Meeting.
Join us in this valuable education session as we collectively take the next steps of our learning journey as an AATA community and focus on a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
We will self-reflect on our own lived experiences and explore how to align our values toward building a stronger culture with DEI lenses. We’ll also:
- Discuss cultivating the culture of our community,
- Learn contemporary and evolving language and themes in the DEI landscape,
- Explore lesser known biases and their impact, and
- Engage in self-reflection to support your learning journey.
This event is open to AATA members only, and is free to attend! Please note that this meeting will be two hours in length to accommodate this important session. The first half will be a DEI training led by Sharon Newport, which will be recorded (and available On Demand in the Online Learning Academy). The second half of the meeting will be a conversation with our members to share experiences (which will not be recorded).
Special DEI Training for AATA Volunteer Leaders
In addition, Sharon Newport will be offering our AATA volunteer leaders, including Board members, Committee Chairs, and Chapter leaders, a training focused on most promising DEI practices within associations. The goal is to help support our amazing volunteer leaders in their own leadership journeys—with the hope of cultivating a pipeline for future leaders of the association. This event is scheduled for September 12, and the National Office has sent invitations to volunteer leaders (or log in to MyAATA to register). AATA volunteer leaders are encouraged to attend BOTH the September 12 and 25 sessions.
