The AATA congratulates Janet Kempf, ATR-BC, LPC for being recognized as the Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education’s Superhero! During the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) spotlighted individuals nominated by their committee on accreditation as their Superhero. CAAHEP recognizes Superheroes for their support of the committee, sharing of their expertise, and dedication to excellence in health sciences education accreditation.

Janet has been working tirelessly on behalf of the Accreditation Council for Art Therapy Education (ACATE) since 2014 and currently serves as Chair. ACATE colleagues released the following comment on Janet’s unanimous nomination:

“ACATE is proud to recognize Janet Kempf, ATR-BC, LPC, for her tireless work on behalf of ACATE. We appreciate the confidence she inspires as she quickly and thoroughly responds to questions and concerns, and she does so with a spirit of respect for her colleagues. ACATE members are better because we work with her, and our profession aims for its highest goals with her support. Our profession and the work of the accreditation will be forever indebted and we offer this nomination by unanimous vote.”
