We are pleased to invite you to consider submitting a proposal for the AATA’s 52nd Annual Conference to be held at the San Diego, CA this fall. The deadline to submit proposals is March 25th. There are a few changes this year to the submission process so please read the instructions before you begin. When you are ready, submit online here. If you have any questions please contact Barbara Florence via email at bflorence@arttherapy.org.

Call for Proposal Reviewers: If you are a current AATA member with ATR-BC credentials and would be interested in participating on the proposal review team please let Barbara Florence know via email. Reviewers are typically assigned around 15 proposals and have approximately 3 weeks to complete the work. The entire review process is completed online. The role will begin around March 26th and reviews will be due on April 16th.

The core conference program will be Thursday, Oct. 28th to Saturday, Oct. 30th. Pre-Conference All Day Optional Advanced Practice Courses and Ancillary Meetings such as the Assembly of Chapters and the Coalition of Art Therapy Educators (CATE) Meetings will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27th. Post Conference Half Day Optional Advanced Practice Courses will be held on Sunday, Oct. 31st (8 to 11 am).

AATA 2021 Conference Your Way: As we continue to monitor the global Covid-19 pandemic, AATA will once again develop a contingency plan for an “all virtual event” if the situation requires it. If we go forward with the conference in San Diego sessions will be recorded onsite and we will also hold a post virtual conference so that regardless of your attendance interest both options will be available.
