Danielle Fascione, LPC, graduated from Ursuline College with a dual degree in Counseling and Art Therapy in May 2018. As a student, she is grateful to have built relationships with art therapy faculty and supervisors and others in the wider mental health community. Now as a new professional, she views her AATA membership as “a continuation of my effort to be involved in the art therapy community.”
Fascione has worked at Total Education Solutions, a program that specializes in modified education for students on the autism spectrum, for two years as the art intervention specialist, developing new, modified and adapted art interventions to meet fine motor and sensory needs. Now that she has graduated with her master’s, Fascione is looking forward to seeing how her position can grow.
Throughout her life, Fascione has turned to collage to express her thoughts and feelings. While she has tried a little bit of everything, collage remains her favorite medium, and she enjoys using it in sessions with clients.
She understands the importance of communicating through art and says she “wants to help others find their communication outlet whether it is creating, playing, talking or something else.”
