Kimberly Faulkner, ATR-BC, LCAT, Chair, Nominating Sub-Committee

I am reaching out to you on behalf of  AATA’s Nominating Sub-Committee to encourage you to put yourself or a respected colleague forward as a nominee for an AATA leadership position. We are looking for new and seasoned voices to contribute as the organization continues to evolve. Our art therapy association requires active and engaged leadership as we continue our response efforts to the effects of the global pandemic, address diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, and move forward with professional education and licensure throughout the country. Please think of those individuals, including yourself, whom you envision bringing beneficial energy and skills to our organization. Once you identify those individuals, please help create the best possible leadership team by submitting a nomination for the 2022 Candidate Slate for AATA’s Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.

AATA is currently accepting nominations for AATA members to serve two-year terms (2023-2024) in the following positions:

  • Speaker of Assembly (1)
  • Treasurer (1)
  • Board of Directors (3)
  • Nominating Sub-Committee (1)

What’s the process?

Please submit Candidate Applications and Nomination Forms by July 3, 2022. Find all forms, position descriptions, and more information on MyAATA under the “Nominations and Elections” header. Please reach out to AATA’s National Office if you have any questions. The National Office can help you connect with members of the Nominating Committee or with current members of the Board.

Once the Nominating Committee has reviewed all nomination forms, the 2022 elections slate will be created from the most qualified candidates. Candidates selected for the final slate will provide written position statements in response to questions developed by the Nominating Committee. Those questions and answers will be published in August 2022 for all members to review before elections take place in September 2022.
