She is the immediate past President of the New Jersey Art Therapy Association and serves as Chair of AATA’s Professional Affairs Committee, reflecting her passion for advocacy in the field. She also enjoys presenting both locally and nationally on topics such as professional development for students, clinical supervision, and clinical considerations when working with special populations.
She also owns a private practice, providing counseling, art therapy, clinical supervision, and provides consultation on practice development.

With more than 26 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults, Kathryn brings sustained practice-based knowledge to her scholarship. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and continues to develop research focused on ethical and sustainable art therapy practice across educational and cultural contexts.

Michael Galarraga (he/him) is a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, and trained in EMDR. He is bilingual (Spanish), a clinical director for a substance recovery program, ATR and LPC supervisor, and an adjunct professor. He is a guest speaker for graduate school classrooms and healthcare related conferences supporting advocacy for the profession of art therapy and accessibility to mental healthcare services. Michael’s work continues to center advocacy for People of Color in the LGBTQIA+ community and Spanish speaking/Latinx individuals in need of therapeutic services.

Maria Kim, PhD, ATR-BC, LMFT

Born and raised in South Korea, with an education background, she pursued advanced training in art therapy and practiced in the United States to deepen her clinical expertise, with a focus on promoting the wellbeing of youth and the broader public. She is a board-certified art therapist and a licensed mental health professional, and currently serves as Program Director for the Couple and Family Therapy Art Therapy Specialization at Antioch University. She remains actively engaged in international professional efforts, including training overseas service professionals and serving as a journal reviewer for the Korean Art Therapy Association and Arts in Psychotherapy.

Rachel Mims is a U.S. Army Veteran, Board Certified Art Therapist, and License Professional Counselor Supervisor. Rachel graduated from Florida State University in 2014 and worked with veterans and their families in higher education, with non-profit organizations, and as part of the local mental health authority for 10 years. She currently works in private practice providing supervision to new therapists and individual services for women, LGTBQ+ Folx, and veterans who have experienced trauma, are neurodivergent, and/or have chronic health conditions. Rachel also provides consultations for mental health professionals looking to open a private practice or transition to living in another country.

LaToya Pegram is a board-certified art therapist, licensed professional art therapist, and licensed professional counselor who believes in living a life dedicated to William James’s words; “The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.” Pegram has over 15 years of experience providing art therapy and counseling services in schools, non-profit organizations and higher education institutions. Pegram dedicates her life’s work to teaching, mentoring young adults, and supporting inner-city youth. Currently Pegram applies her clinical skills in a private practice setting, providing individual, couples, and family therapy.

Kachina Mooney, MA, LPC, ATR-BC

Kachina is the founder of Go Glo Therapy, a queer- and trauma-affirming practice that integrates art therapy and talk therapy to support healing, expression, and growth. Kachina specializes in trauma-informed care with LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and clients navigating grief, identity, and life transitions. Her clinical work is informed by her writing and research in art therapy, with a particular focus on queer worldmaking, creativity, and collective care. In addition to her practice, she teaches and mentors emerging art therapists, provides supervision for LPC and ATR candidates, and has served in leadership roles with both the Pennsylvania Art Therapy Association and the American Art Therapy Association. She is deeply committed to inclusive, ethical, and community-centered work within the field.

Marybeth Orton, MA, ATR-BC, ATCS, ICST, LPAT-S

Marybeth is a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist with more than 30 years of professional experience in the field. She serves as Director of the Art Therapy Program at the University of Louisville, where she earned her degree in Expressive Therapies in 1993. She has been a faculty member since 2003. Her work includes teaching, program leadership, and clinical supervision. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she maintains a small private practice focused on art therapy services and supervision.

'Cori' Corinna Costello, PhD, LCMHCS, ATRS-BC

‘Cori’ Corinna Costello has been a licensed counselor and registered/board-certified art therapist for 30 years. She earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2015 and earned her Masters of Art in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1994. She has had clinical experiences in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and with several different populations. Cori is an Assistant Professor in Art Therapy at the University of Lousiville and previously taught at the Counseling@Northwestern University program. Her current research is focused on various strength-based approaches to building resiliency level and reducing trauma-based responses and multicultural considerations in the graduate training process.
