Faber-Castell® USA is collaborating with the AATA to spread awareness for art therapy. “We believe in creativity for life, from childhood through adulthood, and share in the American Art Therapy Association’s commitment to expand access to mental health through art-making,” their webpage states. AATA member Carol Olson, LPC, ATR-BC, CSAC authored a post for their blog, “Art Therapy 101: Sorting Facts from Myths,” addressing three common misconceptions about art therapy and sharing the facts about the profession.
Jamie Gallagher, Faber-Castell® USA CEO attended AATA’s 50th Annual Conference in Kansas City and has joined AATA Executive Director Cynthia Woodruff on a visit to Ursuline College’s Counseling & Art Therapy (CAT) Program to learn more about the art therapy profession. The AATA looks forward to working with Faber Castell® as we lead in the advancement of the art therapy profession.
