With the help of AATA’s all-volunteer Professional Affairs Committee, we’ve created a comprehensive resource for our members addressing licensure, certification, scope of practice, and more. Licensure and Certification Guide can be accessed through the MyAATA Advocacy and Public Policy page under the Licensure and Practice Questions heading.

The patchwork of art therapy licensure across the country can be daunting to understand. We hope this guide will help our members understand the importance of licensure and why it’s so important to advocate for the art therapy profession! It also answers questions such as:
