The Levick Emotional & Cognitive Art Therapy Assessment
(LECATA): A Normative Study

The Levick Emotional and Cognitive Art Therapy Assessment (LECATA): A Normative Study has been approved for 12 CEUs by the NBCC (SP-1796) and will be held at the University of Louisville Shelby Campus Founder's Union Building on Friday and Saturday July 30th and 31st from 9:00-4:30.

This year we're trying to encourage early registration by offering substantial discounts to those participants who mail in their registration by July 7th.  Members of KYATA who meet this deadline will pay only $125 for the two day training. 

YES, ONLY $125 FOR 12 CEUs!!!!!!!!  Non-members who mail by July 7th will pay only $150.  After that date, the price will go up a bit (details noted on the registration form).

CALL FOR PROPOSALS NOW OPEN for 2011 American Art Therapy Association ANNUAL CONFERENCE in Washington, DC

The theme of the 42nd Annual Conference is Creative Energy, Collective Efforts: Empowering the Art Therapy Journey andwill center on Change, Growth, Sustainability, and Self-care.

Focusing on the political and professional topics that art therapists face every day in their practice makes Washington, DC the perfect setting for next year's conference which will be held from July 6-10 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the nation’s capital.
 
Presentations will bring together the newest theories and methods that include advocacy and promotion of the profession, conflict resolution, teamwork, creative problem solving and more effective ways to navigate through the systems that drain our creative well.

National Veterans Creative Arts Festival

October 18 - 24, 2010
La Crosse, Wisconsin

This annual program is the culmination of talent competitions in art, creative writing, dance, drama and music for Veterans treated in the VA’s national health care system. Each year, approximately 130 Veterans exhibit their artwork or perform musical, dance, dramatic or original writing selections in a gala variety show. A professional orchestra accompanies the performance. All Veterans invited to participate are selected winners of year-long, national fine arts talent competitions in which thousands of Veterans enter, from VA medical facilities across the nation.
