Honorary Life Membership Award is AATA's most prestigious honor and is conferred upon Professional Members for major contributions that have had a broad influence on the field of art therapy. Distinguished Service Award is given in recognition of significant contributions to the field of art therapy, specifically in the area of AATA's internal development as well as its relationship with other organizations. Art Therapy Clinician Award is made in each of the five clinical areas (adult, adolescent, children, families, and general). The focus is on the nominee's work with clients. Jim Consoli Film Award is given in recognition of a film of high quality that adds to the existing fund of knowledge about the field of art therapy. Rudolf Arnheim Award is given to individuals who have given significant support to the art therapy profession. Other Awards may be granted by the Honors Committee at its discretion.
